Penn Square Global Real Estate Fund I
Penn Square Global Real Estate Fund I is the first in a program of global real estate funds of funds sponsored by Penn Square Real Estate Group. The Fund raised $231 million from a diverse group of investors and is managed by Penn Square’s strategic partner, The Townsend Group. The Fund seeks opportunistic returns within a multi-strategy, globally allocated portfolio. Penn Square I fulfills a need in the private equity real estate marketplace by offering access to an investment platform that allows greater diversification by vintage year and fund managers than conventional strategies. The fund will tactically commit investor capital to markets in the U.S. and developed and emerging markets outside the U.S. including Germany, Japan, Brazil, India, China, Mexico and various other regions.
Overview of Investment Strategy
The investment objective of Penn Square I is to generate superior risk-adjusted returns and long-term growth, with relatively low correlation to the public equity markets. The fund will achieve this objective through investment in real estate funds focusing on Non-Core real estate investments. Penn Square I will seek to create a broadly diversified portfolio with access to real estate funds which are traditionally only available to large institutional investors.

Penn Square Global Real Estate Fund II is the second-generation investment vehicle sponsored by Penn Square Real Estate Group. The Fund raised $145.1 million from a diverse group of investors and is managed by Penn Square's strategic partner, The Townsend Group. The Fund seeks opportunistic returns within a multi-strategy, globally allocated portfolio. Penn Square II fulfills a need in the private equity real estate marketplace by offering access to an investment platform that allows greater diversification by vintage year and fund managers than conventional strategies.
